Our Symbols
Our Lagom Logo pays tribute to our Scandinavian heritage and health practice. The design was proudly created by the North Vancouver local environmentalist and graphic design artist, Sarah Haglund.
The first symbol that resembles a doorway or a house, is known as “Uruz” (OO-rooz). The Uruz is part of the ancient Old Norse runic alphabet. The Uruz rune, represented by the letter "U," symbolizes strength, vitality, and primal energy. In the Elder Futhark runes, it is associated with the aurochs, a wild ox that represents untamed power and endurance. Uruz embodies concepts like physical strength, health, and resilience, often encouraging the harnessing of one’s inner force and the pursuit of personal growth. It can also signify a time of change or the need to overcome obstacles through determination.
The second symbol of our logo represents a spine. With the long “S” symbolizing the spinal vertebrae and the dots emphasizing the spinous processes. The human spine symbolizes strength, stability, and support. It acts as the central axis of the body, representing balance and alignment both physically and metaphorically. In various cultural contexts, the spine can also symbolize resilience and the ability to endure challenges. Additionally, it is often associated with the flow of energy, particularly in practices like yoga and meditation, where it plays a key role in maintaining health and vitality. Overall, the spine embodies the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit.

There is plenty of street parking available nearby, but this is a busy area with lots of construction so make sure to give yourself extra time before your appointment. Take the elevator up to level 5 (or the stairs if you’re so inclined). Feel free to take a seat while you wait and I will come and get you from the waiting area at your appointment time.
If it is outside the buildings office hours (before 6am, after 6pm, weekends, and stat holidays), I will meet you at the front door off of Esplanade to let you into the building.
Testimonials
“I’ve been seeing Hannah for almost 2 years now, and I can’t recommend her enough! I initially went to her for chronic neck pain from a bulging disc, and she took the time to really understand the issue and tailer each session to what I needed. She’s so skilled with her hands, always finding the right spots to relieve tension, and her friendly personality instantly puts you at ease. She’s also given me simple yet effective exercises to manage my discomfort at home which have been a huge help!”
